There are six basic staples you should have in your shoe closet: a black pump, a flat (like a ballet), a high-heeled magnificent shoe, a snazzy pair of sneakers, dress boots, and all-weather boots. By now, those of you in cooler climates have carefully packed away your sandals and pulled out your boxes of fun fall/winter shoes. If you don't have a pair of boots in your mix, now is the time to buy them. There are a lot of fun boot trends this year to appease everyone. Flat boots, short boots, tall boots, furry boots, suede boots...you name it, they are all in style.
Top boot trends for 2009/2010 include:
- Suede Boots
- Western Style
- Furry Details
- Embellished Boots (chains, studs, bling)
- Lace-up
- Wedge
- Flat
- Over the knee
- Slouchy
- Buckles
- Ankle boots
There is plenty of variety out there, so no matter your heel preference, there is a style for you. Think outside the box when it comes to your dressy boots. Add a colored boot - like a wine color - to your mix. And for all-weather boots, show a little fur. As a MN girl, I need something warm, waterproof, and comfy to plow my way through snow drifts. I love these from Sorel:

Raaaaawr. Right?
After I drive my car into a snowbank at work because they don't know how to plow our parking lot, I trudge through the snow drifts, up to my office, and change into something like this:
Shazam! I'm ready for the day!Okay, so that should outfit you with enough info to carry you through the next shoe season. Now go shopping!!
