Thankful/Not Thankful #2
You can never go home again, but the truth is you can never leave home, so it's all right. ~Maya Angelou
I am thankful for being able to go home for Thanksgiving. My parents live in the same house in which I grew up, so it is always wonderful to spend holidays there with my whole family. I get to my parent's house early and help my mom with the prep, set the table, have a couple glasses of wine with my dad, and watch some football. This year, I will be attempting a new sweet potato recipe (Sweet Potato Mash with Caramelized Bananas...I'll let you know how it turns out). My mom makes a huge spread which includes all the Thanksgiving dinner staples; this year she has a 24 pound turkey. I swear she gets a bigger bird every year. Which reminds me, I am also thankful for stretchy pants.

I am not thankful for my co-worker who came to work sick today. Coughing, hacking, and walking around talking to everyone whilst spreading the nastiness does not make me happy, especially right before a holiday.
Applying hand sanitizer liberally.

I am convinced that I got sick bc of my d-bag co-worker who came to work with a hacking cough for 4 WEEKS. (Week 1 was apparently the flu, weeks 2 and 3 were walking pneumonia, and week 4 was just icing on the lungies).
