The times they are a-changin'.
I'm just going to ignore the fact that I've been absent for almost a year, okay? I'll do a quick catch-up, and then we'll just move on:
1. My divorce was final last October. I haven't spoken to the ex-hubby in over 5 months and I imagine, in his current world and in his mind, I never really existed.
2. It's been a painful year. Change isn't easy for me.
3. I moved out of the house I loved, away from the neighborhood & friends I loved, into a new home in a new city. The bonus is that I'm 25 miles closer to work now, and am close enough to bike to work if I choose.
4. My great-niece was born in January, proving that: yes, there is much more room in my heart for love than I imagined...because I'M SO IN LOVE with that little girl; and also: I'm old.
5. I have a wonderful man in my life who has helped me realize that I am more beautiful, more strong, and more independent than I ever thought myself to be.
So there...the last year in a nutshell. Oh wait...how could I forget? NUMBER SIX:
I HAVE A NEW GYM.
And it's a real gym...you know, the kind with actual locker rooms. I have so many stories!
But for now, I'll just allow you to welcome me back to your computer screen. I apologize for the absence, but I had no idea how paralyzed I would be. I really thought that blogging would be easy during that time, a kind of release. However, I literally just didn't have the words. But it's time to pick myself back up and join the blogosphere again. As Dylan says...

Kate! I didn't know what had happened. Oh how I wish I had known what you were going through. (I could have at least prayed).
Thank goodness you are back!!! I really missed you and I'm looking forward to reading all about your new journey, your new man :) and your new gym!
Thanks, Dina! I wish I would have blogged my way through that time...I was just paralyzed, ya know? Glad to be back! :-)
Welcome back, Kate! I'm sorry I'm so dense I didn't pick up on the fact you were blogging again. Welcome back to the blogosphere, sweetie. We missed you!
I hate that you had such a tough year. But I know how much better off you are now, and you have grown in ways you probably never could have known. I am so happy for the new good changes -- a new man and a fresh start!
I feel like congratulations are in order. You've been through SO MUCH and have perservered. You ROCK girlfriend.
